How Does It Feel (2018-2019)

vinyl stickers intervention & video 2’53” (2019)

Small acts of subversion around the regenerated Coal Drops Yard development in London accompanied by a video. Once the congregating area for late night revellers, unwilling or unable to end the party when the clubs and late night bars in the city closed at 2am, this little patch of London north of Kings Cross Station would be home to several late night clubs, places to await the first train home around 6am or to sober up.

The area is now an anywhere generic shopping and dining destination with the same global brands seen in most major cities. This project is a love letter to the lost grubbiness and good times, which saw the artist change the advertising hoardings around the area to reflect the displaced club culture. The work remained in place for over 8 months unnoticed by the owners of the privately owned estate.
